Product range
The products manufactured in Malaysia fall into four main categories:
Solids
GMS Malaysia possesses the manufacturing capacity to produce over 800 million tablets annually including production of brands like Panadol and Cortal, Dequadin and Eno.
Creams and Liquids
These are referred to as topical products and include creams and liquids. With a production capability of up to 3 million bottles a year, the factory not only manufactures GSK brands like Panadol syrup, but also provides toll manufacturing services for brands like ICN, Aventis and Pfizer.
Nutritional Healthcare
This comprises three main brands of nutritional drinks - Ribena, Horlicks and Lucozade. GMS Malaysia manages supply of these products out of three local toll manufacturers and one in the Philippines. A total of 5 million kilos of Horlicks powder is imported annually from the UK, repacked in Malaysia and subsequently shipped out to Singapore, Hong Kong and the domestic market. Ribena in all its variations is manufactured locally and supplied to Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore and locally.
