GMS Malaysia
Malaysia, as a country possesses a very conducive business environment and GMS Malaysia is one of the 24 GSK global consumer healthcare manufacturing sites spread across countries. The site produces consumer healthcare over-the-counter (OTC) products for over 13 markets with Malaysia having a 45% share of market followed by Singapore and Taiwan.
GMS Malaysia has been positioned as a regional supply site for consumer healthcare OTC products within the GMS network and production from Taiwan, Thailand and Venezuela is being transferred here.
The Malaysian site manages over RM40 million in production costs per year and employs over 230 staff. With a diverse supply chain which includes the manufacture and supply of OTC medicines in solid dose, powder, cream and liquid, GMS Malaysia is living up to the high expectations set out by the overall GMS mission of supplying top quality products in accordance with customer expectation.
The brands manufactured here include Eno, Cortal, Panadol, Oxy, Phisoderm, Dequadin, Zentel and Eye Mo. The site produces 800 million tablets, 400,000 kg of powder and 150,000 kg of cream per year.
